Elizabeth Slade's concert repertoire includes many of the masterpieces of the sacred choral repertoire such as J S Bach's Christmas Oratorio, Magnificat, Passions and a selection of Cantatas. Featuring, too, are Handel's Messiah, Haydn's Creation and several of Mozart's great works, in particular his Mass in G, Mass in C minor, his Vespers and his famous motet, Exsultate, jubilate. Other works include Vivaldi's Gloria, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle and the Duruflé Requiem. She continues to expand this side of her repertoire and is pleased to accept invitations to sing other works not listed here.
Elizabeth is a keen promoter of contemporary music and has worked alongside composers in recording new music for productions of Wilde's The Selfish Giant and Prometheus Bound, premiered works and regularly programmes contemporary works in concert. She enjoys 'crossover' repertoire by composers such as Morricone, Gershwin and French song as perpetrated by the likes of Piaf. Elizabeth has also co-arranged folk song with violinist Peter Nall for Quartano.
Elizabeth sees chamber music as a vital part of her work hence the formation of Quartano in 2011. Over the last couple of years she has enjoyed putting together concert programmes for both lunchtime and evening recitals which she has toured to small venues with music written and arranged for Piano and Voice of songs from Art Song, Opera, Music Theatre, and Stage and Screen.
