Elizabeth Slade

Elizabeth is a highly experienced teacher and professional musician across several disciplines with a MA in Music. She is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher with many years experience in teaching voice and piano to adults and children of all musical abilities both in schools and privately. Through her own studies she has developed an excellent working knowledge of the physicality, mentality, technicality and musicianship required to nurture a fully rounded musician.

Elizabeth tailors lessons to suit the individual needs of each student and encourages them to explore different musical idioms, a wide range of learning techniques, body awareness and general musicianship. She helps students set their own goals appropriate to their musical interests and abilities, including supporting them for instrumental and vocal exams, for GCSE and A-level recitals, for other performance situations, for the DofE Skills element, or in learning just for pleasure. When teaching children, Elizabeth will take time to develop strong relationships with parents to enhance each child's musical development and runs regular concerts for her private students to try out their pieces in an informal and nurturing environment.

Through her energy and creativity, Elizabeth is able to get the very best out of her students and has successfully prepared hundreds of pupils for ABRSM Practical & Theory exams (Prep Test-diploma), ABRSM/Trinity Musical Theatre exams, Trinity Rock and Pop and RSL Vocal and Piano exams, in both digital and face-to-face formats.
